Be aware that the following badge is an Eastern European fake. Dealer is also based in Greece.

Telltale is poor casting to the front of what was a die cast badge, filing and other marks to the rear, incorrect base material, incorrect finish, and wholly incorrect lugs, which should be round wire.
I suggest this badge has had a run over with a wire brush just to take off the old give-away spray-on finish that has characterized this fakers previous examples.
Stokes did manufacture a gilding metal badge, but it was post war and only worn for a few months. The manufacturer's mark on the latter badge also differed from the position of that shown in the brass badge in the ebay. It also had round wire lugs, or eye shanks in our system's terminology.
