Regarding 9/12 RL badge sizes it may be possible to use the known anodised examples as a guide. There are 3 effective size and uses:-
1. Standard cap badge
2. Standard collar badge (smaller than cap badge, same design - on north and south lugs)
3. Larger collar OR pouch badge. (Same size as cap badge, lugs north and south). These MAY be for No.1 dress or some other pouch or dress kit adornment.
Unlikely to be a belt plate badge as does not have the small rectangular stubby lugs we see for those bespoke fittings on anodised badges.
