Badge backings
With regard to the DERR I'm not willing to be put up against the wall in support of both/ either of my backings being genuine. The square patch may just be someone's idea of 'dressing' the badge for display.
I do however have an anodised Wessex with an inverted plastic triangle which I am sure is a genuine backing, but by whom exactly it was worn I haven't investigated.
