This was posted on the now accessible GMIC site on 9 November:
Apologies for the outage over the last 48 hours. GMIC had issues with the domain name not being propagated to a new server due to IP address conflict. Hopefully the issue is now resolved. I should have mentioned it will take 24 to 36 hours for the DNS servers to propagate around the world. So some members may struggle initially.
