It is pewter, 24 mm and once piece including shank.
This is probably a non-military button.
Generally the military buttons show (like the British ones) the frieze of the Department of belonging (Infantry, Artillery, etc.) or the numbers of the Regiment.
Many pamilitary groups of civil origin (City Guards, field guards, forest guards, etc. and many civic bands, have uniforms similar to military ones, with simplified buttons in the graphics.
Your button does not possess any of the typical elements of military departments and it is therefore very difficult to arrive at a secure identification.
