.....could be better Tony..... need a bit more light and focus? It appears to be a cast bronze?

These were made by Jennens & Co (pre 1923) and also Gaunt (post 1923) ..... the back of it does not inspire me as coming from either of those two makers. If you look at my examples you will see the bronzed examples are all crisp strikes front and back. I would expect to see much clearer definition in the back image unless J&Co had a cheaper method of producing OSD? It certainly looks good from the front.

** Point of interest :- These were also made for the Other Ranks pre 1923 in bronzed GM and white metal. So Jennens & Co must have made them for the ORs as well.... as the white metals are from their die.
