You have a great collection, thank you for sharing it with us.

The seamans knife that you show in your last post (named to J. M. O'brien) was still being used well into the 1980's. I still have the one that I had as a cadet which was purchased from slops in about 1985. It served me well into the 90's and I still use it on occasion. It scares me to think that both it and the lanyard are 35 years old now . Is yours dated?

Interestingly enough, one of the chaps at work gave me a knife with original lanyard that had belonged to his father who was a Royal Marine at the end of WW2.
