These came from a Regimental Collection (rather than a museum, which is now closed and the items were not required by other museums.

Interesting post, when I worked as the Registrar of a Regimental Museum the policy was that any items from a closing Museum or Regimental collection was to be deposited with a completed catalogue of items in the National Army Museum. It was then the NAMs job to dispose (through a recognised auctioneers) of those items not required by them or any other National or Regimental Museum.
