Late in coming to this. The badges shown are good, the earlieast date I have for Gaunt B'Ham is 1966. This is from official doco re: The Queen's Regt. as written up on pages 49 and 160/161. However, it may well have been used earlier than that although I have no official doco, pattern cards etc. to bring it pre 1966 and I only work with official documentation.
Regarding the sliders - The two badges in post #11 look the same in regard to sliders. Jerry, difficult for me to tell as I would really need to handle the badges and you will have to measure it with some decent calipers but it looks like Firmin 2.1: Tombstone (Wide) (A) on page 63 or possibly Firmin 2.5: Asymmetrical (Flattened Tip) on page 64.
