I'm still confused - are we talking about fitting to a uniform? - if you don't want to get reinforced eyelets put in clothing then tack on a small piece of cloth with stitching & make the hole to fix the badge in that.

If a badge is damaged either solder on a suitable fixing, depending on the item itself & how good you are at solderinhg or send the badge to a specialist for a good quality repair.

The combat infantryman badge has been repaired, badly - a butterfly pin fitting's come off & somebody's soldered a screw psot to it rather than repair the pin fitting, so problem solved there.

Where are the actual badges, they are from different countries & different periods & the photos appear to be from different dealers sites?
