MMMMM... I stand corrected!

I was so enthralled about seeing manufacturing/original samples of the 8th/13th VMR and the 3rd/4th Cav rockers, all of which we know have been faked over the years... that in my enthusiasm, I've misremembered the First Armoured as a 1st Cav Regiment as I typed my post.

Just a case of 'Old Timers disease' and over enthusiasm I'm afraid. The 1st Cav Regt title being such a scarce period-made item to find, given the brief period in which it was issued/used.

None of that detracts from how important the manufacturing numbers and paperwork are for validating many of those items as a benchmark for others circulating in the wild, or tucked away in collections
