I'm happy to post pics of all the plated ones I have, although it may be better to just post numbers and makers but whatever the consensus is, just let me know.

The 1916 badge seems to have really fired people's creative imagination at the time and I've posted pics of many small versions of them ranging from professional efforts to, school boy metal work productions that would have been graded "F" with a "must try harder next term..."

Those oval footed hooks (and hinges) were bought commercially and I have some new/ old jeweller's stock of them in brass and nickel silver and in all sizes. They are often seen on high quality brooches that have lost their catches and the process of hard-soldering a new catch would have damaged the item.

Sadly, they also turn up on nice old Victorian medals which have been "brooched" for reasons one can only guess at nowadays.
