The fourth battalion is from the Duke of Lancaster’s rather than RGR.
Two RGR Battalions serve in rotation with 16 Air Assault Brigade (currently 1 RGR - will be 2 RGR in 2022), with the other battalion in Brunei.
3 RGR will be a Specialised Infantry Bn, serving with 11 SFAB in Aldershot, but that is not a Ranger Bn.
