I think the one you show is Ok, it is most similar to the Officers Silver Badge produced by Gaunt, I have no date or proof for the badge but do have one similar and a Gaunt badge.

From the above thread you will see comments regarding the centre tower, which is certainly correct on the early and WW1 badges, hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.
