Supposedly set in 1968. No 2 Dress was on general issue by then as I joined in 1969 and was issued with two suits, one for "best" the other as "barrack dress". We also had 1960 pattern Combat Suits, 1937 pattern webbing and 19?? Greatcoats! However I think that the olive green Jersey Heavy Wool did not appear until the early 70s.
