I have two DLI caps in my collection both with the DLI buttons...as shown on the example shown in the original thread.
No piping or any other colours except the rifle green.
One of mine came from a father of an ex-girlfriend who was a WO2 in the DLI.

The buttons are for the DLI. The RB wore different buttons.
KSLI wore an all green cap but lighter in colour. I have a 1941 reference pamphlet in colour showing most of the regiments/corps etc and some Commonwealth too.
I had quite a collection of side caps including one from the DLI which was grey in colour with piping and came from the 6th or 8th Bn. The regular Bn's only wore the rifle green one.
