Yes it was a field training camp for the AMS. Mostly the TA field hospitals, Who would do exercise petit mash there. That was a field hospital exercise that often used army cadets as casualties.
It was in the early 1960s when there was a Medical Rehabilitation Unit which treated recovering casualties from conflicts in Aden and Borneo etc. A precursor to Headley Court.
