Hello Sipke, Could you describe the blue found on your patch? Is it a really dark royal blue, or is it more medium blue?
The officers' CII patch was worn in both WW1 and WW2. There is a difference in the base colour of the patch. The CEF patch was a really dark shade of blue, and the WW2 patch more a medium blue. To confuse matters even more, some dark blue officers' patches were used early in WW2.
