Sorry to go off at a slight tangent, one of the first military books I ever owned was "The Wonder Book of the Army" ( published 1954 ) and that must have been almost 60 years ago.

For some reason I always remember the attached photo of Canadian soldiers and had no idea what the sign saying "Sweetbriar was never like this "was all about.


At least thanks to this thread I now have an idea of what Sweetbriar was.
