A great find! An interesting piece of film.

The official record of the ATS notes that volunteers recruits from Palestine were first recruited in March 1942.Originally serving with 503 Coy ATS, in November 1942 they were separated to form a Palestinian unit, 513 Coy. Those shown are almost certainly from that Coy. The many Africa Star ribbons worn is impressive.

Three slip-on titles are shown. the first in the opening few seconds a standard army-style, the second, visible in lots of shots locally made and embroidered white on black - scan attached - the third glimpsed briefly, similar in style to the second but embroidered in black on khaki drill. If anyone has an example of the last title I'd be interested to see it.

The FANY badge worn by an obviously British officer indicates that she was a pre-war FANY.
