I was there with 48 Fd Sqn RE as a "specialist unit" and our main task was the Hornbeam line but we did depoly to other areas to carry out engineer tasks-well blasting, buildings, hearts & minds etc. I received the GSM with Dhofar clasp.
The beret was a secondhand one given to me to wear instead of the bush hat we were issued with when working with troops out of Umm al Gwariff.
