The AFI detachment in East Africa wore a shoulder title : Volunteer Maching Gun Company. The Coorg & Mysore MG Coy AFI had a special embroidered badge. The Bikaner State Forces also had a special MG Coy badge. During WW2 the badge of the newly raised Mahar MG Regt featured crossed machine guns. While Indian infantry regts raised MG Bns the only one to have a distinctive badge was that of the 12th Frontier Force Regt which wore a shoulder title with MG above a curved FF REGT.
Thanks for this...forgot the Marhar Regt (!), been looking for their badge for some time..they keeping up but seem to be fakes/poor copies...

Do you have a pic of the FF Regt MG ST (?)
