I think this way. Frame from the range. It has to be a box frame with some depth between glass and board. Draw limes on the board for felt and measure locations for the badges. Holes made for badges (then take the badges out). Colour felt from anywhere. Glued down with thin layer of wood glue. Then ironed on. The badge is then re inserted. If its a slider badge it is held in place at the back with glue. Paint frame if you wish. In this case in Alma pattern Vandyke of Mercian drums. Though one is mainly interested in restrikes, i think there arnt many doing it like this. Now that EG Frames have finished. This set has been in Nottingham castle museum and is now at the Mercian Regt'l memorial at Crich, Derbyshire.
