Various medical Corps and related titles.
Hi Will,
I hope you dont mind me giving my opinion on your title collection as it seems to me, I may be rearranging the items, so if OK.....

1. Top Lt. hand badge is early WWII SAMC single title as used by CF units

2. V over CMC is Volunteer Cape Medical corps 1903 - 1912/13 though I have seen some medical volunteer badges been worn during WWI

3. CMC in white metal is not medical but Transvaal Cycle and Motor Corps

4. Brass CMC is not the regular pattern worn by the regular Cape Medical Corps. It may be a brass V over CMC with the V been cut off OR it may be a canadian title.

5. MSC stands for Medical Staff Corps and is a british title pre 1898. This may have been worn in SA but not by any South African unit.
