Hi Gerard / Lee

Thanks for the info. Unfortuntely I don't think anyone ever mentioned what he did during the war and he died before my father was even born.

I'm assuming horses came into it somewhere due to that photograph on the horse in uniform. I also have a pic of him around 1910 tending a horse on a farm.

I don't believe he had a middle name or initial as in my family hisotry research I've not come across it.

His wife was called Eva Maud Amos (formerly Pearson) if that's any help? His father was called Samuel Amos and his mother Mary Ann Amos.

Sadly I don't know much more than this. I attach scans of the back of the previous images in case the number scribble means anything to you.

I also attach the picture of him as a younger man (around 1910) with a horse.
