I've seen and handled one as have a couple of members here, the contents were the silver tipped pencil made by Mappin and Webb on a securing card, two prayer cards and small greeting card in envelope with the Princess Mary's monogram. I believe if you were a smoker you were handed cigarettes or tobacco if not you were given chocolate both separately and they would easily fit in the tin, It was also with the cardboard box which I think enhanced the value. it was on offer and sold for less than £300.
