Take care when referring to anything published by this guy Burt (based in Canada). He has produced several allegedly accurate books/booklets relating to UK police insignia dealing with police collar badges and other police related insignia. Apart from the fact that they are very expensive, the one I've seen contains so much inaccurate information and identification of the items he illustrates to be little short of a joke. Don't get me wrong, the man who never produced a book never made a mistake - but this one publication of his which I've had sight of contains so much that is wrong, its an insult to any collector who is daft enough to buy it. That said, he's probably a nice guy!
