I am coming across this thread a couple of years after it was started.
Do you know the date of the King's visit? I am assuming it was before 5 CAD left England for Italy. Just wondering when the switch from LSH to LdSH formation patches would have taken place. I am trying to determine which would have been the patch worn by the Strathcona's during the Italian Campaign.
