Default Theater-made BD insignias for Airborne Forces

During this research, I was surprised to discover that even if regulations were relaxed for wearing distinguishing insignias on battle dress towards the end of 1940, identified marks on uniforms were prohibited up until D-Day landing.
Indeed, I didn’t find any photo showing members of the various parachute battalions deployed overseas wearing any divisional patches or shoulder titles before the Overlord operation. It is believed a few exceptions existed but I’m a bit skeptical on the existence of theater-made BD insignias designed for the parachute battalions before the second half of 1944.

The famous Italian made Pegasus might be one example and was discussed here https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...7&postcount=32 but could have been worn towards the end of 1944.

I would be curious if forum members have some evidence of theater-made patches worn by paratroopers when deployed overseas prior to June 1944.

Contributions appreciated.
