Hi Peter,

In Wikipedia there are only three of them who have a page of their own:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/41st_A...giment_(India)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/42nd_A...nt_(1918-1921)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/45th_Cavalry_(India)

Interesting is that I see no relation between the composition of the WW1 and WW2 regiments. Squadrons coming from a complete different set of existing regiments. I see no reason for perpetuation in all three.

BTW, perpetuation by only having the same number, but no other relations or bonds, is something that can be seen in the French regiments, but is not typically for the Britsh style of doing these things.

Another thing to remark is that in Wikipedia the designation for the modern units (the 40 series) is "Armoured Regiment" for all except the 45th that is "Cavalry".

Also it is not clear to me if the official designations go like "45th Cavalry" or "45 Cavalry" (same for the Indian Gorkha regiments).
