The following is an illustration in The Lambeth and Southwark Volunteers, by J. M. A. Tamplin, (a book about the ‘24th Londons’). It features a soldier wearing a pagri flash in Palestine during the Great War. Most illustrations in this book are of the above mentioned unit, so one might presume we have a picture one of the ‘missing’ patches.
The artist is said to be a Mr H Page. A quick look at the medal index cards does not throw up any 2/24th Bn candidates though there is a QRWS man. Perhaps They have illustrated the parent regiment as the flash may look similar. If the 2/24th Londons wore such a flash, it would be a departure from the other brigades in the 60th Division. I have attached it out of interest.
