Looking to put together my own catalogue of RAF badges and am trying to get hold of as many examples of specialist qualification badges as I can, such as Qualified Weapons Instructors (QWI) etc
These are all significant professional RAF courses that allow the Graduate to wear a 'patch' on their Flying Suit or Combat Uniform. The term 'patch' is used by the US Military to signify a Graduate of their Weapons School such as USAF Weapons School or US Navy Top Gun. The QWI courses are the RAF equivalent.
I am aware of a few and that there has been several versions since the inception of such courses, especially before the standardisation of the patches by AWC.

- QWI ISR (Qualified Weapons Instructors Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance)
- QMETI (Qualified Multi-Engine Tactics Instructor)
- QHTI (Qualified Helicopter Tactics Instructor)
- QAS (Qualified Aerosystems)
