I have seen a post 1923 Manchester Rgt Fleur-de-lys in white metal with the same makers mark on the slider. I understand the WM version is post-WW2?

As you'll know, the GM 1916 Norfolk Rgt you show is a fake die. It's not a restrike from an original die. It's a crude copy, a post-1937 die exhibiting none of the fine details seen on original pre-1937 Norfolk cap badges. Therefore the MM found on the slider married to it reinforces the view that this MM is just not right too, certainly with regards to this particular badge.
