I wondered but kept quiet as I wasn't sure, I always forget which way it should be and have to check, photos of serving soldiers sometimes show them the wrong way around.
The feathers being a little "fluffed" could indicate front, the reverse on the hackles I have being absolutely flat on the back.
Through mud, blood, green fields..... does that follow left to right as viewed from the front, or right to left, following the tank's direction.
