Hi
This is an interesting one, the RM Museum shop sold both anodised and bronze Royal Marines Light Infantry cap badges with the last order for stock being placed in 2012. Both were made for the souvenir market and cost a couple of quid.

The RMLI Cadet Marching band was called 'RMLI' not Royal Marines Light Infantry, started in the 1960s and was based in Gosport - some 40 years after the RMLI ceased to exist and Marines had left the town in 1923. It was very popular and survived until 2008. It was a civilian venture that didn't receive any official military funding and I'm not certain if it was affiliated with the Corps at all, be interesting if anyone has access to Globe and Laurels if they were ever covered. Lots of video clips on line but not enough detail to see what cap badge they are wearing. I have seen a handful of photographs of them but in none are the caps clear enough

Yours
John
