I agree with David, Doyle's book is very good for WW1. I have Gaylor, but Doyle's is excellent for a general collection, of every regiment in WW1.

If your going to collect every version, rank etc; then true it's a basic book, but an excellent read and perfect for a specific intent to collect WW1.
