Thank you, Stephen... yes, I am aware of acorn top of the early pattern Staffordshire helmets, unfortunately in this helmet's 170 plus years life it has gone missing and the current plume a slightly later period replacement. The Hampshire Carabinieri helmet, aside from the leather to the chin chain is near flawless.
