Bill according to the Queens printer (1964 ) the only time they didn't have the prefix THE was while they were Artillery between Apr. 1st 1946 and Nov. 30th 1959, They were called the 54th Lt.A/A Regt (Scots Fusiliers of Canada) From Sept 15th 1928 to 31st mar.1946 and from Dec 1st 1959 up to the time the book was printed (1964) they wore the prefix THE, So if they dropped the prefix it had to be after that, I don't know when they were amalgamated with the HLI, but i'm sure you do.
