Just noticed yours is HM silver as well, but made by Gaunt. It is possible that yours may be one of a matched pair, although a matched pair by Gaunt have not been seen and documented but they are of the same period as the G & S pair.
I'll have a look at the 1930's I A dress regs when I get a mo, but they tend to be a bit vague.
