I seem to remember this being an unofficial badge for Tommy Gun for some reason, but I can't find a reference for it. I looked through Brian Davis quickly and he doesn't seem to show one (in either BRITISH ARMY CLOTH INSIGNIA or BRITISH ARMY UNIFORMS AND INSIGNIA).
Bennett's book mentions that "Tank Gunner" was a "G" badge.
