Thank you David. Looked up World War Two Forums and the same has been said. Your reply confirms all this. Post 16 I've attached the continuation of the service record. As you have noted previously, the record stops in 1941 and continues in 1947. His discharge is listed in 1949. Why such omission between the years is unknown to me.
