In RRF context - brass plate, anodised aluminium badge as per the beret badge but with short lugs and no hackle fitting so not interchangable unless stable belt badge put on beret, brass washers behind the anod al belt badge with brass cotter pin, all requiring bulling (othert the anod al badge).
A triumph of salesmanship over practicality.
