Of the two silver badges the London assay marks are on the right, Chester on the left.
The first 'unofficial' OR GM badges were also made by Elkingtons in 1914. Quite probably from the same dies as the silver ones (also solid backs)
When the WO took over production and provision of TF, Pals etc badges the first 'official Lpl Pals badge was WO Pattern 8520/1915 which was die struck with NS loops. The second 'official' version was WO Pattern 9483/1917 - similar but with a slider. All OR badges had a 'bronze' patina applied - though there are many that are worn off.
