Default Brockville Rifle Variations?

I have seen the Brockville Rifles cap badge in silver and black for both the pre-1950 and post-1950 time periods. I have also seen the officers kings crown two-piece black cap badge with the painted red centre. Now I have come across a post-1950 (queens crown) officers two piece cap badge that appears to be silver. Possibly the paint has been taken off yet the reverse of the badge is clearly silver. (pictures attached). Does anyone know the correct colouring for this badge? What are the legitimate variations of the Brockville Rifles cap badge?
Also, Roy Thompsons book lists a small Brockville Rifles cap badge with a large crown, Q6c. Are there battle honours on this small badge? I am not sure how to tell the small cap badge apart from the collar badge. A photo of a small badge is included in a picture with other variations. I was told this was the small cap badge but I believe it to be a collar. Any help would be appreciated.
