A short not about the "Correct" badges worn. I joined the RA (TA) in '62 and the beret badge I was issued was a brass "King's" Crown with slider and lugs. (I still have that in my collection) Of the two badges I was issued previously in the RAF, the first was "Kings" Crown. The first W/O that I met when wearing that sure let me know what he thought of someone purporting to be "an Old Sweat" In retrospect, I wondered if the storeman was onto a good racket!
