Been trying to find a place for this post but decided that those with half an interest will find it...
Here is a little "mystery" badge made of bronze or a bronzed material. The "horseshoe" has been applied separately (would almost fit your daughter's "My Little Pony".....) and it bears a suspicious resemblance to the brass 1915 "three cannons" badge.
The "half moon" clip is especially solid.
Anyone seen it before? I would suspect it could be for the Army Remount Service or could it be for the largest maker of "horseshoes" for Fred Karno's Army?
