The listing simply states that it was "found by my Dad when we visited Gallipoli in 1986" , which could very well be true.
The posts in this thread appear to show that it couldn't have been worn during the Gallipoli campaign but is there a 'possibility' that it was worn (and lost) by a veteran/relative during a later pilgrimage to the battle sites ?
So , it could actually have been
found at Gallipoli ........ or the seller was using the connection as a way to make money !
