There were 5 regiments with the sphinx as a collar badge but two of them, including the SWB had a 'male' sphinx with no breasts. Of the three female sphinx one had Marabout rather than Egypt on the plinth. Of the two remaining female sphinx only that for the Gloucestershire regiment had the letters EGYPT with 'serifs', as per your pair of badges.
