OK , I am beginning to think that this was a Kent based association due to the location of the branches mentioned and the fact that their badge is very similar to one of a Kent Bowling Association (see photos).

Also , during my research I came across a Dutch article about a drum/brass band.

"In addition, there is one very special drum in the instruments of the brass band, namely a black drum that after a visit in 1967 was donated by The Ypres Salient Circle, a group of British former fighters."

The description under the photo is :

"The solemn presentation in 1967 by chairman Dawkins with on his left conductor Romain Dobbelaere and on the right drummer Maurice Delanghe receiving the drum. To the right, next to mayor Paul Priem, is the then chairman of the brass band Eugène Delhaye."

There were two people named Dawkins (other article names them Dawkings) involved in the group (brothers ?) , Mr.W.V Dawkings (Founder Whitstable branch) and Mr.A.G Dawkings (Chairman - By December 1968 he is referred to as late chairman).

I have contacted Kent R.B.L to see if they have any info.
