Interesting that Leeds Grammar school adopted the DofW badge as early as 1922.
I never really understood that as a choice - Leeds is and was always in the recruiting area for The West Yorkshire Regiment/Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire whereas the Dukes recruiting area was Halifax, Huddersfield, Keighley, Skipton (and surrounding areas)
